THE WALLS HAVE EYES
The Walls Have Eyes is a work-in-progress murder mystery puzzle adventure game taking place in 1884's Copenhagen, Denmark. This is a tale of how easy it is to get stuck in your own head, surrounded by demons of your own making. In order to break free, we often need someone from the outside to come in and help solve the mystery that is us.
You are a ghost trapped within an old house. You don't remember who you are or how you got here. Soon after you awaken, you discover a detective entering the house. The detective, Thomas Christensen, has been hired by an unknown benefactor to uncover the murder of the couple who lived in the house. With your help, Thomas will soon come to realise that this is no ordinary crime scene. Drawn into the mystery of what happened to the family, you must solve the puzzles within the house and aid the detective in uncovering the truth behind the murders. In doing so, you may just learn the truth behind your own death, and free yourself.
About Us
Indie game developer Vølven Studio was founded in 2024 by four women from The Animation Workshop in Viborg, Denmark. We originally created the studio with the purpose of developing our current project, The Walls Have Eyes. We have since discussed at length what we want to bring to the video game industry. It is our ambition to promote diversity, mental health, and women's contributions to game development. We value teamwork, communication, work/life balance, and empathy.
Vølven Studio's focus lies in producing original narrative-driven games, often inspired by Danish and Scandinavian culture and folklore. We are passionate about telling unique stories with positive messaging that will leave an impact on players.
